DIANA CORLISS
“There is the music of heaven in all things.”
St. Hildegard von Bingen
Diana Corliss is the Director of Sacred Music and Liturgy Coordinator at St. Mark Catholic Church in Highlands Ranch, CO, where she has served for the past 11 years. She hold a Masters degree in Voice Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. Diana’s professional work over the last 20 years has been largely in sacred music, choral conducting, composition, and voice instruction. Her teaching approach combines evidence-based voice pedagogy, musicality, and spiritual insight into digestible and relatable concepts for all levels. Grounded in prayer, this process guides musicians towards confidence and growth.
Diana is the founder of the Colorado Sacred Music Conference, which will hold its third annual gathering this summer. The conference is committed to helping transform sacred music programs and musicians through: rediscovering Catholic musical traditions, exploring new compositions, and encouraging vocalists to sing with freedom and clarity of purpose.
Composing sacred music has become one of Diana’s great joys. Her music features a modern tonal palette that elevates and expresses the text and remains grounded in sacred musical tradition. She seek to create pieces that lead to deeper contemplation and prayer while staying accessible to parish choirs.
